Junior Java & Clojure Developers
Annadale Technologies is currently looking for talented and enthusiastic Java Programmers to help our team in building intelligent solutions to complex technical and business problems.
We are looking for programmers who enjoy working in a team environment, using aspects of the Agile and eXtreme programming methodology such as pair programming, test-driven development and scrum stand up meetings.
Experience & technical skills we are looking for:
- BSc/ BA in any discipline that fosters a logical and critical approach to problem solving
- 2+ years of server-side java experience
- Experience and an affinity for working with Unix/Linux environments
- Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, such as web browsers, http, and html
- Experience in designing clean and functional Web Application UI’s
- Knowledge of SQL and database structures
- Spring Framework, Tapestry 5, maven, In-depth knowledge of Javascript and AJAX techniques a plus, as is an appreciation of the benefits of test-driven development
- Knowledge of either ANTLR or functional programming such as Clojure (or both) a big plus
Other desirable skills:
- Superb organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detail
The job will be offered on a full-time basis, and successful candidates will be based at our headquarters in the centre of Killorglin, Co. Kerry in our modern, comfortable offices. The starting salary is competitive, and full training is provided throughout your career in Annadale. We also provide a tailored ‘Moving to Kerry’ package for candidates who are relocating to Kerry.
